Chief Warrant Officer Five Richard C. Myers Jr. entered the Active Army on June 15, 1988. He served in a variety of mechanical maintenance positions supporting 1st, 3rd and 4th Infantry Divisions throughout Germany, Holland, and the United States.

In 1997, CW5 Myers was appointed to the United States Army Warrant Officer Corps as a 915A. He was assigned to the 125th Forward Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 1st Armored Division at Fort Riley, Kansas where he served as the Battalion Maintenance Officer.

In 2000, CW5 Myers was assigned as the Battalion Maintenance Officer for 1st Battalion, 7th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Infantry Division in Schweinfurt, Germany with deployment to Kosovo (KFOR).

Upon his assignment to Fort Riley in 2004, CW5 Myers deployed to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait to serve as the 24th ID G4 Senior Ordnance Logistics Officer. Next, he served as the Battalion Maintenance Technician, 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment with deployment to Iraq. Later, he was assigned as the 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division Senior Maintenance Officer overseeing the Foreign Security Forces Equipment Fleet as the Brigade transitioned from a Heavy Brigade Combat Team to the Army’s Military Transition Team (MiTT) Training Brigade.

In 2008, CW5 Myers attended the Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Upon graduation he served as the Proponent Officer, Warrant Officer Leader Development and Education, Warrant Officer Career College, Fort Rucker, Alabama. In 2011, CW5 Myers assumed command of the Warrant Officer Candidate School, 1st Warrant Officer Company, Warrant Officer Career College.

CW5 Myers served as the Senior Ordnance Logistics Officer and Senior Warrant Officer Advisor to the Commanding General, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas prior to being selected as the Ninth Ordnance Regimental Chief Warrant Officer.

CW5 Myers is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and has completed all levels of Warrant Officer Professional Military Education. Other schools include the Army Force Management Course, Support Operations Course (Phase I and II), Joint Firepower Controller Course, and Knowledge Management Certification Course. CW5 Myers earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Leadership from Touro College, New York. He holds a professional certification as a Demonstrated Master Logistician from the International Society of Logistics.

Among his awards are the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Kosovo Defense Service Medal, NATO Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon, and the 5th Corps Distinguished Leadership Award. He is a recipient of the Ordnance Order of Samuel Sharpe, Honorable Order of Saint Barbara, and Nobel Patron of Armor.
